Jockey Billy Cray is set for a short spell on the sidelines following at fall at Southwell yesterday.

The 3lb claimer was unshipped from Hareem Dancer on the way to the start for the 32Red Mobile Casino Maiden Auction Stakes.

Cray was taken to hospital in nearby Nottingham, but his agent, Lee Newton, has confirmed his client has not suffered any serious injuries.

“He’s not too bad. The doctors have said he’ll be back no sooner than a week,” said Newman.

“He’s severely bruised his pelvis and he has muscle spasms around that area, but at least it is nothing more serious.”
