Business organsiation ISME intends to shake up the business mobile phone industry when the market opens later this year to competition.
The business lobby group announced today that its members have achieved average savings of 22% on its telecom affinity scheme ISMEPhone over eircom and an average saving of 15% over alternative carriers.
Introduced as a consequence of the high cost of telecom services in Ireland, ISME partnered with low-cost Irish telecoms company Access Telecom in 2002 to provide telecoms solutions to the Irish Business market.
Mark Fielding, ISME Chief Executive, said: "Small companies have been suffering from high business costs over the last number of years, which has seriously impacted on their competitiveness.
"This latest reduction is indicative of the savings that can be made on behalf of business when proper competition is introduced into the marketplace," he added.
