Adam Sandler to make four Netflix-only movies

Adam Sandler will star in four movies exclusively for Netflix.

The 'Happy Gilmore' actor - whose latest movie 'Men, Women and Children' was released this week - has signed a deal with the streaming service to both produce and star in the four films which will only be available to view on the website from 2015, reports JustJared.

He said in a statement: "When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said 'yes' for one reason and one reason only... Netflix rhymes with 'wet chicks'. Let the streaming begin!"

And it seems that the company's bosses aren't the only ones in the industry who are keen to collaborate with the star.

Actress Drew Barrymore - who first appeared alongside the comedian in 1998 film 'The Wedding Singer' followed by '50 First Dates' in 2004 and 'Blended' in 2014 - recently revealed she hopes to make another film with the 48-year-old actor in the future.

She explained: "When we did '50 First Dates', I was so confused about love but he was about to marry Jackie [Sandler]. I was like, how do you make a relationship work and stay?

"When we did 'The Wedding Singer', we were such young kids with barely a care in the world, there was that joy.

"So it will be interesting to see what our next film together will be. Parenting teenagers next, I think."
