Hostage mother released from hospital

The Irish-born mother of hostage Kenneth Bigley has been discharged from hospital.

The Irish-born mother of hostage Kenneth Bigley has been discharged from hospital.

Lil Bigley returned home accompanied by her family at 12.30am.

Consultant Dr Mashood Siddiqi, who had been asked by the family to check on her, had said she had been under a lot of stress but was coping.

A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said last night: “The family thank the media for their support but want to be with her tonight and look after her.”
