Beverley's fixture on Tuesday has been abandoned due to water lying on the track.

As feared, the rain did not abate at Beverley and Iggulden was forced to abandon well before the scheduled 3pm inspection.

“We’ve had to abandon,” she confirmed.

“We were left with no option. After we called the inspection we virtually needed the rain to stop straight away.

“Water is sitting on the track and there is no way it would dry up in time. There is even more rain forecast so we brought the inspection forward.”
