Derry CIty 7 UCD 0
Eamon Zayed scored a hat-trick as suspension-hit Derry thumped UCD at the Brandywell to consolidate their second place in the table.
Gareth McGlynn, who played despite a groin injury, began the rout with a fine shot that beat Ger Barron for the first time on 25 minutes.
His 100th competitive goal got Zayed off the mark seven minutes into the second half when he scored with a diving header from McGlynn's corner.
Midfielder McGlynn then ended the match as a contest with his second goal of the night five minutes later.
It was four on 63 minutes when the inspirational McGlynn was again the instigator to set up James McClean to score.
UCD had defender Ciaran Nangle sent off on 80 minutes for a last-man challegne on David McDaid who then shot home the resultant penalty to make it 5-0
Zayed then scored twice inside three minutes to get his hat-trick.
First Zayed shot past the demoralised Barron on 85 minutes from Stephen McLoughlin's cross before securing the match ball with his third minutes later.
