Police said two men entered the victim’s unlocked home, punched him and then poured tomato sauce over him.

The intruders are then believed to have stolen the victim’s phone, phone charger and trainers.

The assault happened on the evening of April 16 in Ryecroft Street, in the Tredworth area of Gloucester.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: “One of the offenders is described as a white man, 6ft tall and wearing a dark hooded top and dark jeans.

“Anyone with information should call Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident 369 of April 16.”
