House prices in some parts of the North have almost trebled in recent years, according to a survey published today by a leading estate agency.
The Hailfax survey shows that prices in the city of Armagh rose by 188% in the past five years.
Newry also experienced a 157% rise, Lisburn 152%, Derry 132% and Belfast 123%.
However, Halifax says house prices have generally stabilised in recent months and the days of rocketing prices may be over.
