Davy Fitzgerald looks set to be given another year in charge of Waterford's hurlers after leading them to the All-Ireland final this year.

Davy Fitzgerald looks set to be given another year in charge of Waterford's hurlers after leading them to the All-Ireland final this year.

He is expected to be granted the extension at a meeting of the Co Board on Monday night.

Fitzgerald will meet his predecessor Justin McCarthy in Waterford's Munster Championship opener against Limerick next year.
