Goals by Lille midfielders Mathieu Bodmer and Christophe Landrin gave the French side a well deserved 2-0 half-time lead over Shelbourne in their UEFA Cup first round, first leg tie at Lansdowne Road

The visitors dominated the first 45 minutes, creating several chances besides their two goals and could have gone into the interval further ahead but for some poor finishing.
