Boy George: I don't rule out plastic surgery

Pop star turned fashion designer Boy George has admitted he would succumb to plastic surgery – but still prefers to use make-up.

Pop star turned fashion designer Boy George has admitted he would succumb to plastic surgery – but still prefers to use make-up.

The flamboyant celebrity also revealed that if it hasn’t been for his sister Siobhan, he would have ended up homeless and penniless.

After his pop career dwindled in the late 80s, it was his sibling – nicknamed Shivs – who ensured he didn’t lose everything.

Speaking in the News of the World’s Sunday magazine, he said: “Shivs stopped me ending up in the gutter.

“She saved me. She’s been the really sensible one and managed money for me. It was her insistence that I invested well and kept my house in Hampstead, north London.

“If she hadn’t helped me I’d be skint. And if I had all my time again I would take less drugs.”

Flamboyant George, who counts David and Victoria Beckham among his “beautiful” friends, said he was still a big fan of fashion and was hesitant about plastic surgery.

But he admitted: “I guess if I wanted it I would have it. I’ve got a lot of friends who are planning their plastic surgery before they need it.

“I prefer make-up and clothes.”
