Godolphin’s son of Kingmambo landed the Doncaster Classic by a head from Quiff 12 months ago but has been sidelined with a foot injury sustained in Dubai over the winter.

“We will save him for next year,” trainer Saeed bin Suroor told the Racing Post.

“He’s had an easy time as we did not want to rush him, he will winter in Dubai and the target is to get him back to England.

“He’s a very good horse and he will go for the top middle-distance races.”

Rule Of Law also landed the Great Voltigeur Stakes last summer having chased home North Light in the totesport Dante and the Vodafone Derby.
