Tyrone manager Mickey Harte has insisted rumours that defender Philip Jordan has retired from inter-county football are untrue.
Jordan, the four-time All-Star, missed the squad's training session in Cookstown last night, and speculation is mounting that he has decided to hang up his boots.
However, Harte told the Irish Examiner: "That's not true regarding his retirement. It's an internet thing at the minute, there's no other story to it. He's fit and ready to go next weekend."
Having recovered from hip surgery, Jordan made his first appearance of the season for the Red Hands in their Allianz Football League win over Kildare last Sunday.
Last year he came close to retiring, but Harte convinced him to stay on and he won another Ulster SFC title and his fourth All-Star award at wing back.
The Moy clubman, who turns 31 next month, helped Tyrone lift the Sam Maguire Cup in 2003, 2005 and 2008.
