Moran quits as Mayo boss
Mickey Moran has resigned as Mayo's senior football manager following the disappointment of last month's All-Ireland defeat to Kerry.
The decision was made following talks between the manager and county board officials yesterday evening.
In a statement this morning, Moran said he wished his successor good luck and every success, saying no one would be happier than him to see Mayo lift the Sam Maguire Cup.
