GAA: Provincial Player of the Year awards announced
Birr’s Simon Whelehan has won the AIB Provincial Player of the Year award for Leinster.
Mark Kerins from Clarinbridge won the Connacht award, with Ballygunner’s Fergal Hartley winning in Munster and Dunloy’s Alistair Eliot in Ulster.
In gaelic football, Rathnew’s Tommy Gill won the Leinster award, with Aidan Higgins of Charlestown winning the Connacht award, Colin Corkery winning the Munster award and Ballinderry’s Enda Muldoon winning in Ulster.
