Bolton have confirmed the signing of defender Dedryck Boyata from Manchester City on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old Belgium international has found first-team opportunities limited at the Etihad Stadium with the likes of Vincent Kompany, Joleon Lescott and Stefan Savic among those competing for starting berths.
He is looking forward to getting the chance for regular football, as well as working with Trotters boss Owen Coyle.
He told the club website www.bwfc.co.uk: “I’m really looking forward to working with the manager. I have seen how he got the best out of young players like Jack Wilshere and Daniel Sturridge.
“I am only 20 years old and I am still learning and want to improve. To come to Bolton Wanderers for a loan period is a great opportunity to do that.”
