The couple at the centre of the internet adoption row say they will fight for the return of the twins they adopted.

Alan and Judith Kilshaw, of Buckley, north Wales, said they would take their case to the United States if the High Court, in Birmingham, decides to make the girls wards of court.

The couple adopted the children from their American birth-mother after paying £8,200 to a Californian internet adoption agency. They are contesting a decision by social services at Flintshire County Council to take the babies from them.

Before leaving their hotel in Walsall, West Midlands, Mrs Kilshaw said: "We have got to fight social services who are making allegations with no substance.

"They can't prove any of these allegations against us.

"I'm fighting for lots of other people who have had children removed from their care.

"If they want to take my other children away, they have a fight on their hands. If we need to fight this in America, we will fight it in America."
