Ireland's Tommy Bowe is in the running for the Magners Players’ Player Award.

He will have Cardiff Blues duo of Xavier Rush and Ceri Sweeney, the league’s top try scorer Tim Visser, of Edinburgh, and Dragons wing Aled Brew for competition.

Bowe will find out how he fared when the Millennium Stadium hosts the inaugural Magners League Awards ceremony tonight.

Leinster's Cian Healy has been short-listed for the Magners Young Player of the Season.

Healy will have to beat out Scarlets’ Ken Owens, Glasgow Warriors’ Jon Welsh, new Edinburgh captain Roddy Grant and Visser in a section which was open to those players who were Under-23 and uncapped at the start of the season.
