Mayo boss John Maughan has dropped his captain, Fergal Costello, for Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final encounter with Fermanagh at Croke Park.

Mayo boss John Maughan has dropped his captain, Fergal Costello, for Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final encounter with Fermanagh at Croke Park.

The wing-back failed to make an impression in the Westerners' quarter-final victory over reigning champions Tyrone and was replaced before the interval.

The skipper is replaced by Pat Kelly, who came on in his stead in the quarter-final.

The rest of the team remains unchanged, despite doubts over full-back David Heaney, who picked up an ankle injury against the Red Hands and has not trained since.

MAYO (SF v Fermanagh): P Burke; C Moran, D Heaney, G Ruane; P Gardiner, J Nallen, P Kelly; R McGarrity, D Brady; J Gill, K McDonald, A Dillon; C Mortimer, T Mortimer, B Maloney.
