Courtney Love surrendered to police this morning for allegedly assaulting a 32-year-old woman with a liquor bottle at the home of her former manager.
Love, 39, was booked on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon. She posted €42,500 bail and was released.
Prosecutors have said the charge stems from an April 25 incident at the Los Angeles home of former manager Jim Barber.
She is scheduled to appear in court July 9 for arraignment.
Love also has been charged in three other cases, including two stemming from encounters with police on the same night last October.
Authorities said cocaine and other opiates were found in Love’s system after she was arrested in October for allegedly trying to break into Barber’s home. Love pleaded guilty last month to a misdemeanour drug charge and agreed to enter a drug-rehabilitation program.
She also faces felony drug charges in Beverly Hills Superior Court, where she is accused of illegally possessing prescription painkillers. Love allegedly gave police a small bag of pills after officers responded to a call from her home hours after her initial October arrest.
Love also was arraigned earlier this month in New York City on charges of assault and reckless endangerment for allegedly striking a fan with a microphone stand at a club in March.
Love is the widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain and former lead singer of band Hole.
