Michael Jackson is to make his film directorial debut in a movie to be called They Cage The Animals At Night.
It is based on the true story of a boy who is left at an orphanage and moves from one foster home to another.
Jackson will co-direct the film with Bryan Michael Stoller.
"Michael said he wanted to direct, that he liked my style and that we would complement each other as co-directors," Stoller told www.hollywoodreporter.com.
"He was the one who brought this book to me. It deals with orphans, and Michael always felt he grew up as an orphan because, in a way, he missed out on his childhood.
"The boy in the book had a tough time, and Michael related a lot to that."
Jackson said in a statement: "I feel we have a wonderful team, and I'm looking forward to all of us working together."
