An explosion has rocked a 13th century orthodox monastery in Macedonia.
It’s feared the blast will place a severe strain on the fragile ceasefire which was agreed to as a key condition for Nato deployment in the Balkan region.
The North Atlantic Council, Nato’s decision-making body, is meeting in Brussels today to discuss the future of the operation.
Today’s attack on the monastery, five miles from Tetevo, is being blamed on ethnic Albanian rebels.
