Ireland's Paul McGinley has picked up seven shots in eleven holes on day two of the Dubai Classic to move to nine under par overall.

He is five shots off the lead held by Thomas Bjorn with Tiger Woods second on 12-under par.

Padraig Harrington is 8-under, Eamon Darcy 6-under, Desd Smyth 5-under, Darren Clarke 4-under, Ronan Rafferty level par and David Higgins 4 over.
