A British couple have stayed in the same hotel room on holiday for 62 years.
John, 82, and Sonia Hopkins, 83, fell in love with Folkestone in Kent when they first visited together in 1951, two years after John had been on a cricket trip to the location.
The couple - who always go to the exact same pub for lunch on holiday - recently visited the town with four generations of their family.
John said: "There’s nowhere quite like it anywhere in the world. We always have the same room overlooking the Channel and on a clear day you can look across the water to France.
"In the morning we all meet up at quarter past nine on the pitch and putt golf course. Around noon we all head off to the same local pub The Lifeboat Inn where we have been going every year and have lunch. Then in the afternoon we play darts.”
