Will Smith has dismissed the idea of following in Arnold Schwarzenegger's footsteps and becoming a politician - because he couldn't bear the unpopularity.
The I Am Legend star, 39, recently joked about wanting to become the first black president of the United States, but admits he would not cope with the backlash many politicians face.
He says: "It's not a good job. When Arnold Schwarzenegger was an actor he had a 90% approval rating. Now he's governor of California and politicians immediately start at 50%.
"When you create something artistic and put it into the world, it's painful if they don't like it, or if they don't review it right, but it's a seed that can grow. By the time your seeds grow in politics, you've been impeached. They move you out and then realise you did something good."
