Munster U21 final

Cork 0-13 Kerry 0-12

Cork won their first Munster U21 football title last night with an injury-time winner from senior squad member Kevin O'Sullivan in Tralee.

The highly-fancied Kerry side, with senior players Declan O'Sullivan and Paddy Kelly in the team, had opened a four-point gap in the final quarter, but the Rebels clawed their way back to snatch a win.

Kerry were without the injured Colm Cooper, who had been named to start, but who was replaced by Dan Doona.

Cork led 0-7 to 0-6 at the break, but Kerry upped the tempo in the second-half.

Scores from the Kingdom's Brian Sheehan and Kelly put four points between the sides.

Noel O’Riordan ignited Cork’s fightback with a point, O’Sullivan got a free, Rob Long put one over and John Hayes scored the equaliser before O'Sullivan snatched the winner in injury-time.
