This evening’s meeting at Clonmel has been given the go-ahead following an early-morning inspection.

Course officials were able to deliver the good news after the recent wet spell had put the fixture in jeopardy.

Cliff Noone, Irish Turf Club press officer, said: “The ground is heavy, but the meeting is thankfully on after an inspection at 8.30am.”
