Westmeath county secretary Paddy Collins has said he would have preferred if his county's quarter-final clash with Derry had been fixed for Sunday rather than Saturday.
The new Leinster champions feel they would have brought more support to Croke Park had the match been fixed for a Sunday.
"A Sunday date would have been better for us. Saturday is a working day for many people here," said Collins.
Collins believes the quarter-finals should be fixed for Sundays in the future.
"Most counties would prefer to play on a Sunday," he said.
Westmeath have beaten Offaly, Dublin, Wexford and Laois en route to their quarter-final clash with Derry, and the prospect of Páidí Ó Sé's side getting to the semi-finals has sparked a football frenzy in the Lakes County.
