The Irish Management Institute has announced that Barry Kenny has decided not to seek a new term of office, and is leaving at the end of March to pursue personal business interests.
The IMI said that Board Director Tony Dromgoole has been appointed as interim CEO.
Commenting on the appointment, Chairman of IMI, Dr Chris Horn said: "We are all delighted that Tony has agreed to accept the position of interim CEO of IMI, while we continue to pursue a long-term successor to Barry Kenny. Tony has worked at IMI for nearly 20 years and brings a great deal of experience to the role he will take up in April."
Following a number of years in management consulting with KPMG, Tony joined IMI as Director of the MSc in Management Practice, a joint programme with Trinity College Dublin. He also directs programmes in operations/manufacturing management at IMI.
