A woman has passed her driving test while in labour.

Emma French, from Livingston, Scotland, got a score of 10 out of 16 in the exam, despite her waters breaking hours before the test began.

She then drove herself to hospital to have her baby.

The warehouse worker, who gave birth to daughter Eva MacFarlane, kept quiet about her waters breaking because she was so determined to pass.

She told Metro: "I had failed my test in March and had to wait until August for another.

"I had to do it because I knew, if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have another chance until the baby was a little older. So, I didn’t tell my instructor or the examiner what was happening and just got on with it."
