The Beatles' album cover for their classic 1965 disc Help! was shot in a grim English car park - not the glamorous Austrian location originally believed by fans.
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr posed in their semaphore positions in Twickenham, Middlesex.
The band's historian Keith Badman says: "Most Beatles fans think that the famous photograph on the front of the Help! album was done in Austria.
"As the book (The Beatles unseen) reveals, the shoot actually took place in a Twickenham car park in front of a white background."
