Budget airline easyJet flew 2.44 million passengers in April as it continued to boost its network.
The monthly figure represented a 25.2% increase on a year earlier and meant the Luton-based operator carried 27.49 million passengers in the 12 months to the end of last month.
The performance was helped by the addition of new routes.
Passenger statistics show easyJet reduced the number of vacant seats on its planes, with the load factor up to 85.2%, against 81.6% a year earlier. The level for the last 12 months was up to 84.9% and pushed revenues for the year to the end of April ahead by 20.8% at £1.22bn (€1.79bn).
The airline is due to announce interim results on May 24 but has already indicated it has been successful in shielding its margins from soaring fuel prices.
Chief executive Ray Webster described market conditions as unchanged today.
EasyJet, founded by Greek entrepreneur Stelios Haji-Ioannou, flies to more than 60 airports. It reached a milestone last month when it received its 100th aircraft - the 37th Airbus A319 to join its fleet.
