These dog owners in the US were flummoxed as to how their dog kept escaping from the kitchen, despite there being baby gates in place.

So they set up a camera to see if they could crack the mystery - and how the dog does it will surprise you.

"Our Alaskan Klee Kai, Akira, has been escaping the kitchen for the past several days in a row and we weren't sure how until I set up my GoPro for some surveillance," YouTuber Craig Life wrote.

We were in awe of the dog's skills, until the part where it turns out she's a little bit mean.

"I also found out she taunts our Westie, Domo who can't escape."
