An application to wind up Waterford United Football Club has been adjourned for two weeks.
The soccer clubs former first team manager Stephen Henderson has petitioned the High Court to have WUFC Operations Ltd the company which operates the League of Ireland First Division club wound up.
Mr Henderson took a case against the club following his dismissal in 2011.
Last year, he obtained a judgment against his former club, which has not been satisfied.
Mr Henderson says the company, based at the Regional Sports Centre Cork Road Waterford is insolvent and unable to pay its debts as they fall due, should be wound up and a liquidator appointed.
Today when the matter was briefly mentioned at the High Court Ms Justice Mary Laffoy agreed to adjourn the case for two weeks.
The court heard that the application was being brought on the basis the company has failed to satisfy a judgment of €37,600 made against it in favour of Mr Henderson, of The Spires, Carrignafoy, Cobh, Co Cork at Dungarvan Circuit Court last December.
That judgment was affirmed by the High Court last March.
Yesterday, the company asked for an adjournment as new solicitors had only come on record last week.
The Judge said she was prepared to a short adjournment, but the matter would be dealt with in two weeks' time.
