A murder hunt was under way today after the bodies of three sisters with their throats cut were found in a village near Guatemala City.
Fire brigade spokesman Mario Cruz said the bodies of the girls, aged six, eight and 12, were found yesterday on an empty site near the village of Chicaman, 25 miles west of the capital.
Mr Cruz said the girls’ mother identified their bodies.
He said she told police the girls had left their home in the morning to go to school at a nearby village.
