RTÉ today announced the completion of a deal with the Scottish Premier League, which gives the national broadcaster the rights to show a package of Celtic matches in the SPL until the end of the season.
RTÉ's coverage begins with the Old Firm game against Rangers this Sunday at Celtic Park, live on Network 2 - what should be a mouth-watering prospect for fans of Scottish football.
Niall Cogley, RTÉ Head of Sport, said: "We're thrilled to be able to bring Irish viewers coverage of Celtic on free to air television. Ireland boasts a huge number of Celtic supporters, and I think the acquisition of this package will enhance our soccer coverage immensely."
Kick-off for this Sunday's match is 2.15pm with the programme beginning at 2.00pm. Commentary comes from George Hamilton and Billy McNeill.
