Ex-World Champ, Jacques Villeneuve has revealed that he believes next year will hold better fortune for him and BAR.

Villeneuve announced: "Our team will be more competitive next year, I have high confidence in that. The car will be more competitive. Honda is working very hard. They've found a new direction to work in, one they changed to during the (2002) season and that will be good for next season as well. So I'm very confident."

The fact that Honda are concentrating their engine development with one team has pleased BAR's new technical director, Geoff Willis. He is also confident that the BAR 005 will be more successful than this year's car.

"We have some interesting new parts for next year," he said, "and have generated some innovative designs."
