The Board of Donegal Creameries today announced the appointment of Mr Ian Ireland as chief executive to succeed Mr John Keon, who will retire from the position on December 31 next.
Mr Ireland has worked with the Kerry Group for over 20 years, with the last 12 based in the UK. He has held a number of senior positions in Kerry Foods in sales, purchasing and general management.
Speaking on the appointment, company chairman Mr Lexie Tinney, said: “We are delighted to have secured a chief executive with the experience and proven talent of Ian Ireland. He will strategically strengthen the Company’s capabilities through his strong track record in export led marketing and customer innovation in the food sector.
“His leadership credentials and management qualities will be important assets in profitably developing the company’s growing portfolio of businesses into the future."
