Ryder Cup star Anthony Kim shot a seven-under-par 64 to take a two-stroke lead at the end of the opening round of the Korea Open on Thursday.
The Korean-American was one of the stars of the United States' win over Europe last month and maintained his recent good form at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club.
The tournament also sees Kim resume hostilities with Ian Poulter – the top performer in the European team – after the duo clashed in Valhalla.
Poulter accused Kim of barging into him on the green on the Saturday of the Ryder Cup.
The 32-year-old Englishman finished five shots off the pace on Thursday after carding a two-under-par 69.
Korean Kim Jyong-myung is second after carding a five-under-par 66 while five players share third place at four under.
