Eamonn Fitzmaurice has tonight been ratified as the new Kerry Senior Football manager.
The Finuge clubman was appointed to the role tonight by the Kerry County Committee for the next three years.
Fitzmaurice won three All-Ireland Senior titles with Kerry in 2000, 2004 and 2006, having played 50 Championship games for the Kingdom.
He also annexed two National League titles and six Munster Senior crowns. Fitzmaurice also won All-Ireland Under 21 titles in 1996 and 1998.
He succeeds Jack O'Connor as the Kerry Senior Football manager, having previously managed the Under 21 side.
Fitzmaurice's selectors have yet to be appointed, but they will be announced at the next Kerry County Committee meeting.
Meanwhile, Darragh Ó Sé has been ratified as the Under 21 Football manager for the next two years.
Ó Sé will have Dr. Crokes clubman Harry O'Neill, Valentia's John Shanaghan and Listowel Emmetts Noel Kenneally as his selectors.
Ó Sé had been previously linked with the Laois Senior Football manager's position prior to the appointment of Justin McNulty in late 2010.
