David Beckham has again denied he has any wish to leave Real Madrid.

Speaking at a commercial presentation held by Gillette in Beijing, scheduled to coincide with Madrid’s tour of the Far East, the England captain continued to insist he is happy at the Bernabeu.

“It is not true that I am unhappy at this club, in fact just the opposite is true,” said the midfielder, who is doubtful for Saturday’s game against Beijing Gouang with a slight calf injury.

“I get on well with all of my companions and I would like to be here for many more years.”

Beckham also talked about the reception he and his team-mates received both in China and in the US, where they started their pre-season tour.

“The support and affection that the team has received has been incredible,” he added.

“First in the United States, where we were not really expecting to see as many people but they were everywhere, especially at the training sessions and at the games, and now in China, where we received a spectacular reception two years ago.

“Once again they are giving us incredible treatment.”
