Martial arts champion Julie McHale has been banned for competing for three months following a meeting with the Irish Sport Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel.

Martial arts champion Julie McHale has been banned for competing for three months following a meeting with the Irish Sport Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel.

The panel found that McHale refused, without justification, to submit to sample collection after notification.

The ban runs from an initial hearing last November.

McHale, the current WAKO European light contact champion, has a right to appeal within the next 14 days.
