Twelve people killed in bus-truck collision in India

Twelve people were killed and another 21 were injured when a bus collided with a truck in southern India.

Twelve people were killed and another 21 were injured when a bus collided with a truck in southern India.

Ten of those killed were bus passengers coming from Bangalore, the capital of southern Karnataka state.

The other two victims were travelling by the truck.

The bus was going to Vadagara in neighbouring Kerala state.

Seven of the injured are in hospital in critical condition in Bangalore. All the injured were bus passengers.

The accident occurred at Nidaghatta in Karnataka's Mandya district, 50 miles south of Bangalore.
