Slipknot singer Corey Taylor is alive and well, despite circulating internet rumours he recently died.
News that the Duality hellraiser had passed away originated on a spoof website last week and quickly spread around the globe.
Unaware of his supposed death, Taylor received calls from anxious fans as well as his manager to see if he was alright.
In an official statement, Taylor says: "I am not dead."
His wife Scarlett Taylor told worried family members at a birthday party for the couple's two-year-old son Griffin: "First it was an overdose, then a fatal car crash."
Taylor joins fellow rockers including Ozzy Osbourne and Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland in having been declared dead on the internet.
