GIVEN the increasing fascination with plastic surgery, it was only a question of time before TV producers embraced the world of nose and boob jobs, and other areas too intimate to mention.
It’s not just the clients who make Nip/Tuck: The Complete Series (Warner) so enjoyable, but the loves and unpredictable lives of its two main stars, plastic surgeons Dr Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) and Dr Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh), two opposites whose contrasting fortunes mark this out as a very special TV drama.
All 16 episodes are brought together in this five-disc set which takes up where series one left off as the two put their careers back on track following a narrow escape from the clutches of a dangerous criminal.
Joan Rivers pops up as a guest, but one of my favourites is Vanessa Redgrave as Sean’s mum-in-law — his wife is played by Joely Richardson, Redgrave’s real life daughter.
