Sting says he will never go to the Brit Awards again. He says last week's show was an embarrassment.
Sting performed at the event, where he was presented an Outstanding Contribution award.
But he told The Sun newspaper: "I hated it. It was hard going. Frank Skinner struggled in front of a very difficult crowd and venue."
"The show was a bit embarrassing."
"When I was performing at the Brits I could hear people talking and no one seemed to be listening to me. I won't be going again, put it that way. I was bored.
"It was one of the hardest gigs I've done and it gave me little pleasure."
Sting also criticised host Frank Skinner.
He said someone like Stephen Fry, who hosted the Orange British Academy Film Awards, should have been chosen.
"I don't know why they couldn't get someone like Stephen Fry to host it. I thought he did a brilliant job at the Baftas," he said.
