Mbeki: No crisis in Zimbabwe

South African president Thabo Mbeki has said “there is no crisis in Zimbabwe.”

South African president Thabo Mbeki has said “there is no crisis in Zimbabwe.”

Mr Mbeki was speaking in Harare after meeting with Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe. The South African leader has been a key mediator in attempts to resolve the country’s the economic and political plight.

Mr Mbeki, who met with Mr Mugabe today, is continuing on to Zambia, where an emergency summit of regional leaders will discuss the political turmoil caused by the long delay in releasing election results.
