Bank of Ireland drops bid for Abbey National
The Bank of Ireland has dropped its bid for Abbey National.
The British financial institution had already rejected advances from the bank who have said it accepts that the position is unlikely to change.
Shareholders for both companies had also expressed concerns about the bid.
