Snow worry for Punchestown

Sunday’s meeting at Punchestown is already in doubt as the track is currently unfit for racing.

The Irish Turf Club report the track, which is due to stage the Grade One John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase, to be covered by snow at present.

Officials at the venue will continue to monitor the situation over the coming days.

Clonmel are also scheduled to race on the same afternoon and the course is currently fit for racing with the ground described as soft to heavy.
