Asiatic Boy is on course to tackle the BGC Sussex Stakes at Goodwood on August 1.
Mike De Kock’s colt created a favourable impression in winning four races at Nad Al Sheba earlier in the year, with his most lucrative success coming in the UAE Derby.
Based in Newmarket as connections prepare him for his first start on a British racecourse, Asiatic Boy is currently giving the right signs despite not racing since March.
“He’s very well,” De Kock explained. “He has really freshened up nicely since Dubai, which is really important as it can take a lot out of them out there, especially when they go through the triple crown, as he did.
“I’m very happy with him, and I’ll be seeing him when I come over to England next week,” he told the Racing Post.
“He’s on target for the Sussex Stakes and will probably have a racecourse gallop at Goodwood a couple of weeks before the race. After that the plan is to go for the Juddmonte International.”
